Greenlawn Hardware is a family-run business with Manny the owner and patriarch still behind the counter, along with his daughter Jen, and son Jeff. Say hello to Rick, too, who is always quick with a helpful home maintenance tip.

The people who work here should not be called employees or cashiers; they are neighbors who happen to know a lot about what they sell and how to help solve problems for their customers.

The building itself is what you would expect from an old-fashioned hardware store, complete with the uneven hardwood floors which have been smoothed out from the decades (one and a half centuries!) of customers shopping in these aisles.

Unlike the big box retailers, you don’t have to walk a half-mile just to find the right area – it’s all packed neatly within this small store. And, yet, everything you need seems to be here – somewhere – just ask Jeff!
